How long does a typical job take?

How much does a typical job cost?
For some projects, e.g., Kitchens, we do give an indication of what is involved for different sizes of job, including budgets. (See https://bandmjoiners.com/kitchen-quote-examples/ for Kitchens).
For other projects there is not always such a thing as a typical cost.

Can you fit a kitchen (or other materials) I supply?
No. We are a supply and fit only company. We only use our own trusted suppliers for all our projects: this allows us to fully guarantee our work – which is paramount in giving our customers confidence.
Do you fit bathrooms?
No. We are, primarily, a bespoke services joinery company. We do have an exceptional team of all-trades craftsmen who can support a full range of services as part of any bespoke commission. The best first step is often to get in touch and we can have a chat.
Can you price a job for me?
Yes. The first step is to understand some more as to the nature of the work you are considering. Please complete our “Get in Touch” form and we’ll get back to you shortly or, give us a call on 0131 556 9816.
Are your tradesmen trustworthy?
Yes. We pride ourselves on the quality of our work and services. Craftsmanship and dedication since 1970.
Will you charge me for pricing a job?
It depends. Some pricing exercises take significant time, effort, and expertise so, first things first, please get in touch in order that we can understand the nature of your proposed project. We can provide free estimates if you meet a certain criteria.
For certain exercises e.g., Helping with the appointment of an architect if no drawings in place then a fee would likely be involved.
If you are interested in buying a property and are considering work for this project ahead of purchase, then this is likely to have a fee.
Do you support all trades?
It depends on the project. We are, primarily, a skilled team of craftsmen joiners. We do, however, have the ability to deliver full trades projects including Project Management for a full portfolio of trade services as required. As ever, the starting point is a chat. Please give us a call to discuss your project.
Can you support emergency repair work?
Yes. We do provide emergency joinery repair work within our standard working hours and have done so since 1970. This work is, primarily, contracted within framework property maintenance contracts for clients with a portfolio of property. Please get in touch if you wish to discuss such services.

Do you do property turnarounds and full renovations?
Yes. We offer a full portfolio of turnkey, bespoke joinery services and all trades services.

Can I come and see you face to face?
We’d love to have a chat about your next project. Please feel free to call us to arrange a chat and/ or meeting here at our office.
What hours do your tradesmen work?
Our tradesmen’s working hours are 0800 – 1630 Monday to Thursday and 0800 – 1530 on a Friday. Weekend work is available but alternative rates apply.
Do you remove all rubbish/waste materials from site?
Yes, we remove all debris from site except for white goods or anything hazardous*. In some cases, we will have skips on-site depending on access etc.
*Arrangements for White goods and/or hazardous materials is the responsibility of the customer. NB: We can advise on relevant specialists/ service providers as required.
We also do whatever we can to ensure our carbon footprint is as low as possible and support recycling, upcycling, and re-use projects wherever possible within our projects.

Do you fit double glazed units into existing single glazed sashes?
No. We do not provide this service as the original sashes were made for 4mm glass. We would propose new sashes or a complete replacement depending on the condition of the existing case.
How do you pay for the works?
We take card payment, cheque or the preferred option bank transfer.
