Zero Waste Scotland
We care deeply about the impact our industry has on the planet. That’s why we sought advice and support from Zero Waste Scotland to help us adopt responsible use of our products and resources, and to individually and collectively address our contribution to climate change.
This has resulted in B&M Joiners being recognised and awarded Platinum Accreditation for our pledges and undertakings.
Our Eco and Environmental impact continues to be a fundamental focus for everything we do as a business.

The Great Reserve
We have committed to offset a lifetime’s carbon for our staff members by signing up to The Sequoia Project from The Great Reserve. This is a visible commitment to personal carbon usage to allow greater focus on the wider carbon footprint of the B&M Joiners Group. We ordered our first giant sequoia on the 1st November 2021. This has proven a great way to capture the imagination of our staff, and illustrate our commitment of the business to them and our collective environmental responsibilities.

Recycle. Re-Use. Reduce.
Some of our joinery projects do involve a lot of materials being replaced. This is a very visible aspect of construction work and we proactively work with clients, partners and support agencies to recycle, re-use and reduce materials. The environmental awareness of our joiners is key to our overall environmental performance. Investing a little thought, a little time and a little effort has proven, job after job, that we can make a significant environmental impact. Our recycle point at our car park in Rodney Street is popular with the Edinburgh locals. We are proud to be part of the thriving circular economy community.
